Erasmus + project “SUSTAINABLE AND GREEN TOURISM MANAGEMENT  COMPETENCIES IN ADULT LIFELONG LEARNING”, Erasmus Plus Programme, No 2023-1-IT02-KA122-ADU-000147948, CUP: G94E23000020005, training in Latvia was held on June 1-5, 2024. Seven participants from NGO PROLOCO NOVARA from Italy in collaboration with NGO Project Net from Latvia learned about green competencies, green audit schemes, green business, and organization model as well as visited green tourism venues to observe green tourism in action.
The project is supported by Erasmus+ programme in order to promote the sustainable and green management.
The Pro Loco is a private local associations born to promote the territory development. The Pro Loco Associations are non-profit organizations that essentially deal with the tourist promotion of the area, in order to protect the historical and cultural heritage. The local Pro Loco association is now mainly involved in organizing art exhibitions and fostering local traditions and dialect.
This project was significant for staff to improve sustainable and green management competencies and learn new green tourism management approaches.
Sustainability and sustainable management is important competencies in the perspective of Europe Green Deal Agenda and green course globally.
The hosting organization Project Net from Latvia has implemented several international and national projects in field of eco-innovation, circular economy and zero waste.
