Between 18th and 22nd of March 2019, DIAL team and its volunteers will come together in Turkey, Ankara to test teaching materials that have been created during 2018. The meeting will thus launch the active part of the project preparing the volunteers for teaching seniors – the main target group of the project.
The third partner meeting will bring together more participants that it usually did, as this time volunteers are involved. Each project partner has invited several volunteers who are either already working in the area of adult education or are willing to devote themselves to the project and senior integration in the digital society as such.
The meeting’s aim is to test all four module materials – Communication and Collaboration, Internet, Hardware and Computer Essentials. The materials will be analyzed not only by project partners but also by the volunteers in order to finalize and develop the teaching materials so that they would be perfected for the fourth and final meeting in Portugal, June 2019.

During the meeting, project’s progress, plans and further actions will be discussed as well.

Ankara, Turkey’s cosmopolitan capital, sits in the country’s central Anatolia region. It’s a center for the performing arts, home to the State Opera and Ballet, the Presidential Symphony Orchestra and several national theater companies. Overlooking the city is Anitkabir, the enormous hilltop mausoleum of Kemal Atatürk, modern Turkey’s first president, who declared Ankara the capital in 1923.

“DIAL” is an Erasmus+ strategic partnership project in the Adult Sector targeting mainly elderly people. The main aim of the project is to provide inter-generational and Life Long Learning opportunities to grandparents to acquire essential digital competences that will enable active aging and access to the e-word.

The Erasmus+ project “DIAL” is co-funded by the European Union.  Find out more about Erasmus+ program on https://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/node_en
